Hailing from the dreamy lefts of Lakey Peak, Sumbawa, Bronson Meydi grew up with saltwater in his veins and a surfboard under his feet. Half Indonesian, half Aussie, and 100% committed, Bronson’s smooth style and fearless approach have turned heads on the global stage. In 2024, he became the first Indonesian surfer to win the WSL World Junior Championship—and backed it up by topping the Asia QS rankings, locking in a spot on the 2025 Challenger Series.
A big part of Bronson’s rise comes from the guidance of Indonesian surf pioneer Rizal Tandjung of 'Momentum' fame, who took him under his wing early on and welcomed him into his Bali-based surf family. With Rizal’s mentorship shaping both his approach in and out of the water, Bronson developed a mindset rooted in respect, progression, and giving back to the surf community that raised him. It’s not just about winning—it's about surfing with purpose.Â
Now part of the Ocean and Earth family in 2025, Bronson brings serious talent without the ego. He’s mellow, dialed-in, and always down for a surf—even if it’s pumping or just a couple feet and fun. With a mix of raw power, creative flair, and humble confidence, he’s everything we love in the next generation of surfers. This is only the beginning for Bronson—and we’re stoked to be along for the ride.
